For over 40 years, Vetreria Barani has been the essence of Glass.
Maurizio Barani began his career as a glazier in 1968 as a piecework installer.
In 1979, at just twenty-six years old but already with over a decade of experience, he rented his first 180 sqm warehouse. Here, he launched a business primarily focused on small-scale industrial glasswork, officially founding Vetreria Barani and beginning its journey.
Thanks to his entrepreneurial spirit and total dedication to his craft—which led him to work across much of Italy—Vetreria Barani today operates out of two facilities totaling 2,600 sqm. The company’s market has expanded to serve both the industrial sector and civil architecture.
The industrial division covers large-scale surfaces:
- U-glass with chamber
- poliù (multiwall Termix polycarbonate)
- curtain walls
- insulating glass units (certified high-performance for energy saving and acoustics)
The interior and exterior architecture division includes:
- tempered doors
- shower enclosures
- glass staircases
- glass flooring / walkable glass
- glass office partitions
- glass railings for balconies and stairs
- glass elevators
- ...and everything else achievable with glass
The company structure has been strengthened in recent years by the arrival of his two sons: Yari and Andrea.
Yari manages the geographical deployment of work teams, on-site surveys, and assists professionals and private clients in choosing materials and designs; Andrea oversees the manufacturing-production phases and internal company processes.

In 2018, the company inaugurated a new facility for the production of aluminum frames and curtain walls for residential, commercial, and industrial use, partnering with top-tier brands to meet client needs and comply with current thermal and acoustic regulations.
